Loan Processor – Clayton

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for certain duties within the loan department. This includes but not limited to corresponding with and supporting Lenders with loan requests, exception working, letters, legal correspondences and customer communications.

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Communicates with customer to complete information necessary for loan documentation preparation.
  • Verifies initial application documentation is completed accurately by Loan Officer.
  • Orders appraisals or in house evaluations for applicable loan type and review for accuracy once completed.
  • Work closely with the attorneys on all real estate loan closings
  • Work closely with the Centralized Loan Processer for all real estate loans.
  • Orders title work and resolves title issues, if any, in a timely manner.
  • Order Credit Reports
  • Obtain payoffs and releases
  • Order Flood Certs.
  • Submit files to underwriting when applicable and all documentation needed for underwriting
  • Maintains current process status at all times using secretary log.
  • Complete all sections of the Loan Memo and all applicable checklists
  • Prepares loan documents using the loan platform system for each applicable loan type in a timely manner – real estate (early disclosures) and non-real estate (complete package).
  • Coordinate closings with customer, attorney and centralized processing
  • Performs loan closings with the customer
  • Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance standards
  • Work all exceptions notated on the imaging system
  • Completes necessary forms for all titles to be processed
  • Pull expiring UCC report monthly to extend any UCC’s prior to the 5 year expiration
  • Cut loan checks when applicable
  • Assists customers with loan questions – walk-ins or phone calls
  • Assist the lender with collections, letters and any other duties as assigned.
  • Processes Draws and maintains draw/inspection files
  • Processes non-real estate loans (vehicle. CD, equipment)
  • Pull values on collateral
  • Works exception reports for supported lenders

  • Effectively communicate orally, in writing and with written procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to complete task within an established timeframe
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
